Are You Burned Out?


1. What are things that “fill your tank” that after you’re done doing them, you feel energized and positive?

2. What are things that “drain your tank” and leave you feeling exhausted?


Make a list of everything you have to do – all your obligations.  If you need to go day-by-day and write down all your time obligations, then do that.  Be sure and list everything (and be sure to include sleep!).

Sit down with your parents or mentor and examine all your commitments.  Ask the question, “Does everything on this list serve enough of a purpose that it warrants giving up some of my time?”

It may be time to reevaluate your own expectations and ask your parents and mentors how they feel.
